Q & A
At the seconder level are those cartridges made by enterprises which have been
certified by internationally recognized quality standard control organizations such
as ISO. These makers strive to utilize the highest grade of alternative raw
materials and components with strictest production quality control procedures to
ensure the final products reach the standards that OEM set and in some case
exceed the OEM specifications such as the page yield and life span of the OPC
drums. Target Imaging Ltd is among very few manufacturers in China truly live up
the expectations of the consumers who want high quality products with very low
prices.
At the third level are the cartridges made by the companies which do not have
quality control procedures in place and just look for quick profits at any costs.
They usually employ the low grade materials and components and some time
even reduce the bulk toner amount to meet the price demands from certain
wholesalers and distributors. As a result, the quality suffers and consumer
complains mount because the low prices do not justify the poor performances of
the cartridges. Unfortunately there are large numbers of this kind of the makers in
China these days and they are ruining the reputations of Chinese cartridges
Q: Do all Epson compatible ink cartridges infringe Epson patents?
A: No. Only those cartridges which simply copied the Epson patented designs
and innovative intellectual properties are the patent infringing cartridges. Target
Imaging Ltd. has devoted its own R&D resources to establish its own patented
innovations on the compatible cartridges which offer the end users the alternative
solutions to their printing needs. We believe that it is up to the consumers to
make the decision with regards to putting any kind of the cartridges in the
printers that they bought.
Q: Are Remanufactured cartridges more environmentally friendly than the
new/compatible cartridges?
A: Not necessary. It depends on how the remanufacturing is done. It is only
"green" when the cleaning cycle is properly managed and residues such as
waste toner and waste water used to clean the sponges in the ink cartridges have
been properly treated. Mom & Pop Reman shops usually do not have the means
to properly treat the waste therefore they do more harms to the environment than
people think.
